Scientific Games Corporation, which also operates in the UK under its local subsidiary SG Gaming, revealed that has signed a content contract with the Kansas Lottery. Under the terms of the deal, Scientific Games is to provide the Kansas Lottery with game design, marketing support and production for six years. In addition, the Lottery is to be granted with popular licensed brands of Scientific Games portfolio.
The Senior Vice President of Scientific Games’ Instant Products division John Schulz explained that everyone at the company’s team were impatient to expand their relationship with the Kansas Lottery with new product offerings. Mr. Schulz said that Scientific Games would do everything possible in order to accelerate the revenue and net proceeds growth for the State of Kansas.
Up to date, the company is involved in supplying over 70% of lottery instant games on the territory of the US. In addition, it is involved with providing games and gaming services and technology to over 150 lotteries on a global scale.
Earlier this year, the Kansas Lottery has published information about its annual performance. It has revealed that its retail sales amounted to $272.2 million in the company’s fiscal year 2016, which ended on June 30th, 2016. The afore-mentioned amount also included $164.6 million in instant games. The result marks an increase of 6.7% in comparison to its results for the previous fiscal year.
The collaboration between Scientific Games and the Kansas Lottery dates back to 1987. Since then, the company has supplied the lottery with instant games. Scientific Games has been lately focused on consolidating its presence on global regulated markets. It has launched multiple new titles earlier this year and has entered a number of partnership agreements in order to expand its reach worldwide.
The deal was also confirmed by the Executive Director of the Kansas Lottery Terry Presta, who explained that they were looking forward to joining forces with Scientific Games in a closer collaboration that would result in bringing more innovative games to customers. Mr. Presta described Scientific Games as the biggest instant lottery games supplier and said it would help the Kansas Lottery on its way to generating further growth in the afore-mentioned product category.
